Alec Booker

My Name is Alec Booker and I am 30 years old. For many years I was a chef, 10 years to be precise, until I had an accident at work that ended my career as a chef. I then decided to take a leap of faith and turn my long term interest in Psychology and counselling into a full time job so I embarked on my Diploma in Professional Relaxation Therapy with the good folks at the BSY Group.

In March 2019 after losing my Father in the previous December, I decided to start my first therapeutic company dedicated to the mental health and well-being of the people in need. So I founded Komorebi Gateway Counseling Ltd. With the mission to aid people on their journey to not only a better state of mental health but to treat the client as a whole utilising holistic methods of practice encompassing the ethos Mind, Body & Spirit are as one.

I also manage a mental Health Advocacy website and facebook page called Mission:MHAM whose on going mission is to combat and end the stigma surrounding mental health through compassion, education and understanding.
